LONG TIME!

Wow it's been forever since I posted something. A lot has happened in the last 10 months. Caleb and I are expecting a little girl and we've named her Avery Renee. She due October 31st but we scheduled the c-section for October 25th. Corbyn is 15 months and is absolutely beautiful! There is not a moment I don't take a minute and thank my blessings! We have recently found out that Caleb's parents will be able to come to OKC before the head to Isreal to see everyone! It will be great to have everyone together and Corb see his grandparents! Mom and I just went to Lubbock last weekend for my 10 year reunion. I can't believe 10 years have gone by already! It was soooo good to catch up with Heather Crawford-Haynes and Amy Rider! Mom and I and had a blast driving/talking and especially getting pedi's.
So the count down begins for our new addition and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us!

Monday - Last day in Argentina!

So we didn't end up going to the zoo because the it rained too much so we just decided to stay home and play more games! Saturday we went back to where Caleb grew up and met family friends and saw where Caleb lived and went to school. Also friends got together at the church to have coffee/tea and sweets! It is actually amazing how you pick up some spanish when you are the ONLY person who doesn't speak it! Sunday it rained ALL day so we decided to not go shopping and play more games and hang out! Today we are going to do a little more shopping and eat either Argentine food or lebanese! We leave tonight and get into Dallas around 1:00! VERY sad to leave but ready to be home!!
Oh! Yesterday I put Corbyn on his hands and knees and sat there for a good minute till his arms got weak! He'll be crawling before I know it!

Friday!

Today we were going to the zoo. A zoo where you get in the cages and play with the lion cubs, monkeys and bears - but it is raining so plans are cancelled :( Now we aren't sure what we're going to do! Corbyn didn't sleep well at all. He has started wanting to sleep on his side and since he can't "really" do that he gets frustrated and cries. So I got up many times last night! Caleb still can't get over his cough and stuffy nose! It is funny here because you can go to the pharmacy and tell them what's going on and they will give you an antibiotic or whatever without a prescription. You can also get over medication with antibiotics over the counter.
Something that is also very cool here is they pretty much deliver everything here. The Argentine's are always trying to "one-up" to make money. They will deliver diapers, dog food/supplies, burgerKing and pretty much anything you'll like. Now I know some doctors do this in the states but they also have the pediatrics come to your home to see your kids for house calls. I think if someone began a delivery company and had a menu of what they delivered, they would make some good money!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Today we are headed out to eat Thanksgiving with other missionary families.
The mosquitos last night were HORRIBLE, my legs are eaten up! Something exciting to talk about is how Corbyn has been sitting up all by himself the last few days! It is really amazing to see the changes everyday!
I want to wish everyone a wonderful day with their family and friends!

Historical Argentina!

Today we went to the historical part of Argentina! Where Argentina was found! It is the 2-3 story buildings that are painted in all different colors. It is said that when the ships landed they took apart their ships and made the houses, it is also where tango was found! We went back downtown to look for some Argentine shirts and while we were there we saw the little kids again except this time I saw a 10 year old holding a 3 month old and they were filthy. Their mothers are under shade waiting for them to bring back money they've earned. It really is a pitiful site :( We also so the Pink House which is considered the White House here! Yesterday we went to an historical cemetary that has amazing plaques/buildings. The families have to pay rent and the death could've been in the 1800's. If the family can not pay their lease they will remove the remains. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we are having it with another missionary family! I am not sure if we are having an American Thanksgiving or an Argentine! Can't wait!

Another day in Argentina

So today we are actually ALL going to the dentist! It is cheaper to fill a cavity here than it is to have dental insurance and fill a cavity. Also, I take back how cheap everything is here. There are somethings that are outrageous! We have been to the mall twice and it is either the same price or more for clothes and shoes :( After the dentist we are going a market that has most of the same stuff in the mall but A LOT cheaper!!
The weather is so nice here, you sleep with the windows open but here everyone stays up real late so people are walking and talking down the streets SOOOO loud. The other night a neighboor's son honked is horn for like 2 minutes just letting his family hello. Randy (Caleb's father) runs out there and says "WE HAVE BABIES"!!!
When walking in the mall there is such a variety of people and there is really not a trend. Everyone has their own style!
Little update!!

Argentina

So initially the flight to Argentina scared me to death. Having a 5 month month old to drive to Dallas for a 3 hour flight to Atlanta with a 3 hour layover and a 9 hour flight to Argentina to follow. But there was no need to worry, he did AMAZING!!
Argentina is beautiful! The day we got in we caught up on sleep, the next day we went downtown and caught up on all the souvenir shopping. At the downtown there are the kids (like the kids on slumdog millionaire) that are real dirty and try to sell you a piece of paper that has your fortune on it. You would see 8 year olds holding 3 year olds with no pants or underwear. They are working for an adult. You just want to take them all home :(
It is crazy how cheap everything is. We went to eat at a buffet that has ALL types of meat and bread and unique salad bar which was $12 US. I had a pedicure that was $12 US and when they remove the calluses they use an actaul scapal. My feet have never been this soft!
The days go by real fast, I can't believe it's already Saturday! Today we were going to go to an amusement park, but it's been raining so plans have changed to go to the new mall!!
We've been trying to take as many pics as possible! I will try to keep you updated daily on my experience here!!
